This one’s been brewing for a while, but we’re delighted to finally announce the very first StrictlyDancers.com event with Ian and Camilla!

Thing is, you see, here in Strictly Dancers Towers, we’re a jealous bunch. Jealous of all the events that you lucky people in the north west get to see. Yes, Preston, we’re looking at you. And as we created our fancy-schmancy event map, we noticed how sad and lonely the south east was looking. Especially the little bit of the south east we call home – Kent.

But no longer! On Friday 5 June 2009, we’ll be welcoming the current Strictly champion, Camilla Dallerup, and her tall, very talented, tall, blonde, tall professional partner Ian Waite (did we mention that he’s tall?) to Ditton Community Centre, just outside Maidstone. We’ve also got a fantastic amateur couple dancing a ballroom showcase to get you in the mood for dancing, a great compere in the form of three-time UK ten-dance champion Mark Shutlar, and all the usual music and social dancing you’d expect.

So if you’re in Kent, the south east or London, come along and support our very own event!
