Countdown to Ditton

So our event with Ian and Camilla is less than 24 hours away – we have a packed schedule tomorrow to get everything ready for the big night, which is officially and literally as camp as a maypole. Seriously, if any of you know Ditton Community Centre, think again. It’s not yo momma’s community centre anymore, not since we blinged it up…

We have a team of six organisers, four dancers, a photographer, two caretakers, a compere, a balloon lady and 340 guests. Some of whom might be bringing candleabras in spite of our pleas for them not to. If anyone sets Ian’s hair on fire with a candleabra, I’ll…well, laugh, probably.

But seriously, we have our fab amateur couple Paul and Jodie doing ballroom (apparently one of their lifts might require a paramedic on standby), Mark Shutlar leading a cha-cha workshop for beginners and lapsed dancers, Ian and Camilla doing their Latin show, a cha-cha competition that will probably get hyper-competitive, a draw for champagne, dance shoes for sale, Ian and Camilla’s meet and greet, and social music all night.
