Five days and Tweeting…

September? How can it be September already? Maybe it’s just because we didn’t seem to have a summer, but this year’s gone ridiculously fast. Maybe I’m just getting old.
Anyway, the all-new-look Strictly starts on Friday, and isn’t that just weird enough in itself? Strictly? On a Friday? But what about It Takes Two? Will we get an ITT the second Friday night or will they give Claudia the night off? Who knows? Too many questions? I agree.
The build-up to this year’s series has been oddly cosy, though – at least to anyone who frequents Twitter. And if you don’t – get on there! It’s strange, but a series of brief 140-character long messages from the various pros and celebs have given us an insight into the pre-series training regime that we’ve never had before. This is definitely the year of Strictly Come Tweeting.
We’re regular Tweeters, of course (follow us here!), but if you’re just getting started, there are loads of Strictly folks also wasting valuable training time by Tweeting their progress.

A new look for the new series
The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed the new look around here! We thought it was time to spruce the place up, what with the new series starting next week, so we’ve given the site a bit of an overhaul.

Just a quickie to say that we’ve updated (more or less) our listings for the Strictly pro dancers!
We’ve added Aliona, Katya and Natalie’s profiles and updated everyone else with the 2009 celebrities. More to come soon though!

So the rumours are true – Arlene Phillips has been ejected from the Strictly judging panel in favour of series 5 champion Alesha Dixon – and Strictly fandom has erupted!

Countdown to Ditton
So our event with Ian and Camilla is less than 24 hours away – we have a packed schedule tomorrow to get everything ready for the big night, which is officially and literally as camp as a maypole. Seriously, if any of you know Ditton Community Centre, think again.
